As the nights draw in and the mercury drops, leading bedding specialist Slumberdown is reminding people to upgrade their duvet to a higher tog to keep out the chill and ensure that their quality of sleep is not compromised.
Research by Slumberdown, which provides quality pillows, duvets and mattress protectors, revealed that a staggering one in three* people never change their duvet, which can mean they’re left shivering and unable to get the best night’s sleep simply because their duvet isn’t thick enough.
Tog ratings operate on a scale of 1.0tog (lightest rating) to 15.0tog (warmest rating). In the colder, winter months it’s important to choose a higher tog to ensure your bed is warm and snug.
Established in 1970 and at the forefront of bedding innovation, Slumberdown recommends a duvet with either a 10.5tog or 13.5tog for instance the Big Hugs Duvet, which is perfect for the whole family.
David Page, sales and marketing director at Slumberdown advises: “There is nothing better than feeling snug and warm in your bed on a dark, cold winter night. To ensure an optimum sleep environment, it’s important that people choose a duvet with a higher, warmer tog as this will ensure they get the best night’s sleep.”
Slumberdown provides a range of duvets to suit a variety of sleep needs, including the Bouncy (available at Tesco and Argos) and the All Seasons (available at Argos and Asda).
